FIRST CLASS OF CHAPLAINCY

THE FIRST CLASS OF CHAPLAINCY IN AUA

The class started in 2015 with almost 12 students and climaxed in 2018 with about 23 students from all of Africa. This was the fisrt class to be inaugurated in the Adventist University of africa in Nairobi. The class which majored in two areas - Hospital and Campus ministry leraned how to minister to people who are in a temporary or permanent environment out of theirn normal favourite places like hospitals, campuses, Army, Prisons, etc.

Chaplaincy ministry is nowadays more emphasized because Jesus explained that towards the end of the world people will find themselves in different situations of suffering and at the same time, good people "Samaritans" will be engaged in serving the suffering on behalf of Jesus but motivated by the realisation that serving the suffering is almost the same as serving Jesus himself. These very kind group of people expected to fufil Jesus' comission on earth  in our times are called Chaplains. Come and join this people in serving people.
